How Talkblue is privacy focused and 100% European

Talkblue is designed for people who prioritize their privacy and prefer not to use services provided by large corporations like OpenAI, DeepSeek, or Meta. Here is how we do it.

Talkblue technology

1. Privately hosted Open Source AI

Talkblue uses Scaleway, a fully European cloud infrastructure company, based in France. Scaleway provides the open source AI models that we use. Your data does not leave Europe. Once a conversation is used to generate a reply, it is not stored anywhere, except in your own browser.

2. European Cloud Infrastructure

All our systems are in Europe, and currently all services are located in Paris, France. From hosting to databases, your data is secure with us.

3. European Search

Talkblue uses Qwant for powering search queries that the LLM needs to make to answer the questions. Outgoing requests are routed through France, the Netherlands or Germany, again using a European proxy provider.

4. Local Storage

Your conversation history is stored locally in your device’s browser storage. Only you have access to it, unless you choose to share it.

5. Privacy by Design

Privacy is at the core of Talkblue's design. All decisions about the technology and operations prioritize your privacy and data security. Read more about your privacy.

How to Use Talkblue

Imagine using Talkblue like opening a private, secure app on your computer or phone. You can ask it questions and it will provide helpful answers, with your data staying safely in your browser. Your questions and the answers are only sent to the model (hosted in France) to generate replies, but it isn't stored on Talkblue's or any third party servers.

Search Engine: Qwant

Talkblue integrates with a privacy-focused search engine called Qwant. Unlike other popular search engines, Qwant does not track you or build profiles of your search habits, ensuring your searches remain private.
